At just under 39m in length and with a beam of nearly 6.5m, Amazone is a surprisingly high volume classic yacht with the potential to be a ‘pocket superyacht’ with great classic lines.

Amazone

Built in 1936 at the Thornycroft yard in Southampton to Lloyd’s class for Commandant L. Hemeleers-Schenley, this is a great mid-size classic with long distance cruising potential.

In the 1970s and 1980s this yacht was well-known in the yacht charter world under the name Welsh Liberty. Modified to suit that market, she would benefit enormously from a sympathetic classic yacht restoration. After recent use as a floating home, Amazone now requires a complete refit and is certainly worthy of it. This is a classic yacht that will provide great accommodation, has a seaworthy design and very good looks.
