Interface Design

The majority of the Yacht Owners for whom we work have not wanted to limit the range of design talent they can draw upon, choosing to work with a wide spectrum of interior designers, lighting designers and others, not just those who traditionally work on marine projects.

Marine Environment

Access to this greater talent pool can add greatly to the richness of a project, but brings its own challenges. Contributing designers may not be familiar with the regulatory environment in which they need to perform, may favour materials and equipment that are unsuited to the marine environment or may find themselves coerced into compromising their designs by contractors seeking to use applicable regulations to simplify their own deliverables.

Supporting Interior Designers

Working with designers we assist them in achieving a technically appropriate design and support them in ensuring its adoption into the project and its technical implementation.

Managing Interface

We will also mediate the relationship between non-marine designers and shipyards to ensure that the best design results are achieved and that these are consistent with other project parameters. Our input in this area is not one which is intended to be seen on the completed project, but one which allows best performance by creative agencies working in an environment with which they are not familiar.
